Dr. Quratulain Khan
Dr. Khan is a licensed psychologist and a board-certified* clinical neuropsychologist (USA) with hcpc registration (UK). She specializes in rehabilitation neuropsychology. She has over 16 years of training and experience in neuropsychological assessment and treatment services for a broad range of neurocognitive conditions including traumatic brain injury, stroke, neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., Alzheimer's Disease and multiple sclerosis), and developmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Her subspecialty is traumatic brain injury, including the assessment and treatment of persisting post-concussion symptoms (PPCS).
Dr. Khan graduated from the APA/CPA accredited Clinical Neuropsychology Ph.D. Program at the University of Windsor, Ontario (Canada). Her residency training was completed at the APA/CPA accredited program at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Center, Nova Scotia (Canada). She then completed a specialized fellowship in Neuropsychological Rehabilitation at the JFK-Johnson Rehabilitation Institute (Center for Head Injuries) in New Jersey (USA).
After completing her fellowship training, Dr. Khan worked as a clinical and rehabilitation neuropsychologist at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) for several years, where she developed and led the multidisciplinary concussion clinic as well as the COPE Concussion Group for patients experiencing prolonged recovery after a concussion.
She has been in private practice since 2019 and continues to provide neuropsychological assessment and treatment services for adults (18 years and older) in the state of Indiana (USA). She started working in private practice in the UK in 2024 and has been working as an associate for Totus Neurorehabilitation.
As a clinical and rehabilitation neuropsychologist, Dr. Khan helps her patients improve day-to-day functioning using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Rehabilitation. She has a particular interest in compensatory strategy development and emotional adjustment to cognitive changes and neurological diagnoses.
In addition to her USA and UK private practices, Dr. Khan is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She is also an active member of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) BI-ISIG Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Task Force and the Cognitive Rehabilitation Task Force.
Dr. Khan complies with the Information Commisioner's Office and UK GDPR guidance. She has an enhanced DBS check and is fully insured for private practice in the UK.
